Charles joined the team from Putnam Associates, where he advised biotech and pharmaceutical companies on strategic decisions, including competitive positioning, market research, demand forecasting, and acquisitions. While pursuing his Ph.D. degree, Charles also worked with Biotech Connection Bay Area, where he coordinated networking and professional development events for graduate students and postdocs in the Bay area.
Charles earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Francisco where he studied the biochemical mechanisms underlying age-related regenerative decline in the mammalian brain in the lab of Dr. Saul Villeda. He completed a dual Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Biochemistry at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.
