Donal Delaney

Donal’s background includes a mix of venture capital, venture debt, public accounting, corporate controller and financial systems experience. Before joining Illumina Ventures, he was chief financial officer at Pinnacle Ventures, a venture capital and venture debt firm, where he was responsible for financial reporting, fund operations and limited partners (LP) communications. Prior to that role, Donal was the corporate controller at SVB Financial Group, a financial services company focused on serving emerging, growth and established technology companies and the life sciences and private equity markets. During that time, Donal was responsible for corporate accounting, taxes and external financial reporting, including reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Before joining SVB Financial Group, he was an auditor with both KPMG and Ernst & Young.

Donal has a Bachelor in Management from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland and has been a California certified public accountant (CPA) since 1997.
